It is best to monitor your PV system regularly to ensure that it is working properly and review your electricity statements every month – don’t just put it on auto-pilot. If you notice that your balance is growing and your system is working, you may need to pay some of the balance every month to avoid a large true-up.

You may also consider enlarging your PV system if you have the circumstances to lower your dependence on the grid. Often, once someone has installed a PV system, they may take for granted that all their electricity needs are covered and may increase their use of electricity.

Conservation is still the best way to keep our electricity costs down.
